Property highlights
The room and bedding was extremely comfortable. We have more than 70 million property reviews, all from real, verified guests. Excellent location, clean, pleasant staff, bed was very comfortable. The International House includes a fitness suite, a wellness area to ensure guests maximum relaxation. Business travellers will benefit from a xerox and a desk available at a conference room on site. The area also includes natural sights like the massive Louis Armstrong Park a 5-minute ride from this New Orleans hotel.
The staff were great at the hotel, very accommodating and helpful. The location is a couple of block from the French Quarter, which would be most tourists reason to visit. But the CBD and some street car lines are close by. The bar in the reception area was fabulous with some knowledge staff. There are several places to brunch within 5 minutes walk of the hotel.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. To see correct prices and occupancy information, please add the number of children in your group and their ages to your search. Lovely fruity cold water on arrival every day which was a nice touch.
It's in the Central Business District (CBD), which is essentially across the street from the freewheeling French Quarter. Many corporations, foreign consulates and the city’s convention center are located here, as is the Superdome. The hotel was really nice, super close to Bourbon street but not too loud. Hotel is not too big which is what we preferred. If we'd ever come back to New orleans I would stay in this place again and would not search for any other and I rarely say this. In 1943, businessman Archie Jewell renovated it to become “The International House,” the world’s first World Trade Center.

The fine printMust-know information for guests at this property
Even the elevator has a door-length “Venus and Adonis” mosaic. The color scheme of creams, dusky greens, grays, and occasionally, rich reds, feels decidedly posh. Occasionally, style trumps function (big beds can make some guest rooms feel tight).
Cancellation and prepayment policies vary according to accommodation type. Please enter the dates of your stay and check the conditions of your required room. The location of the hotel was fantastic, and the staff were exceptional. We will recommend this hotel to all family and friends.
Also, this New Orleans property features a lounge bar. Sample Cajun & Creole specialties at Laurel Oak located a minute's walk from the accommodation. That sleek style starts in the lobby, with its plush seating and spare oil paintings, and continues into Loa Ba, with its rich reds and dramatic chandeliers.
A wealth of parking garages makes the CBD fairly easy to drive into, except during the week of Mardi Gras. Excellent location, walking distance from everything. Great, authentic feel, not at all a sterile hotel chain feel. The nearby sports attractions are the multi - purpose indoor arena "Smoothie King Center" (1.6 km), and the immense indoor stadium "Mercedes-Benz Superdome" (1.4 km). An express breakfast is served each morning at the International House New Orleans.
Fabulously located - walking distance to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Rooms are generous in size and the hotel itself is beautifully designed. I cannot say enough good things about this boutique hotel and brilliant value for money!! I would stay there again - I wouldn't look for anywhere else to stay. Located only 0.7 km from the immense Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, the 4-star International House Hotel New Orleans features spa therapy, various recreational opportunities and entertainment activities. Harrah's Casino is placed approximately a 7-minute stroll away, and French Quarter is within walking distance of the upscale hotel.
